Understanding and working in the environment requires fundamental understanding of the more basic sciences, including chemistry, biology, ecology, geology, fluid dynamics, mathematical and numerical analysis.
Our work also requires field skills such as seamanship and equipment rigging or deployment - always with one eye to the weather and one hand for the crew.
